We caught up with an exhausted zonic after the crazy match against MiBR.
It was a distressed zonic that came out of the players area. He was obviously struck by a long and intensive match. Not many predicted this, besides Nomad, but now NoA is in the final of this years ESWC.
You just beat MiBR in a breath taking match. What is your reaction?
We played a very close match. First 15 : 15 and then we won in the third overtime. Second map as well was so close, but we pulled the long straw and won.You will play pgs in the final; what do you think of that?
Well we’ve played them twice it’s a really strong team, we lost both times. But, you know, we will just approach the match as every match in this tournament, and so far it has worked out pretty well.Pentagram is huge favorites; do you think you can win the final?
Yeah PGS is favorites, but we like being the underdog. But we definitely believe we can do this!Denmark has a great history in ESWC; why do you think that is?
I don’t know really. I myself played in the final two years ago with SK.dk. The Titans won in 2004. I actually have no clue why ESWC suits Denmark this well.
Before ESWC you changed Paddy with sunde, and he has been playing excellent the last few match. Why did you do that?
Yeah there is no doubt that was the right decision.
We needed some new blood in the team. I didn’t feel Paddy was motivated enough and there were quite a few weekends were he couldn’t play. Sunde enters his first big international event and performs from day one. Its just shows that we are all ready and that the call we made was right.Personally tt wasn’t your best match ever. What was wrong?
I feel each of us take turns to get momentum in these matches. I don’t believe any one of us have been playing badly yet. We all did well against Virtus and NiP and now MiBR.
In most matches so far, it seems like four of you plays amazingly, but then you always have one man lacking a bit behind. Why don’t all five of you peaks at once.
Well, as I just stated, we take turns on who gets momentum. Everyone has bad runs and good runs. In this match some of us played awesome during regular time and then some other stepped up in the overtime. Take sunde for example, he did so well as CT on inferno.
NoA will meet Pentagram at 16:30 on the main stage. Stay tuned!
